Breathing new life into Tower Mill
Tower Mill, an old derelict Victorian cotton mill, is being brought back to life with a £6 million investment. Thirty years after the close of the last spinning mill in the UK, cotton spinning is to be re-established in the north west, where it belongs. The company have invested in one of the most productive ring spinning systems in the world, and are now producing around 100 tons per month of the finest cottons available anywhere in the world. For us, as a weaver of fine jacquard fabrics, having this resource literally on our doorstep is incredible. We are delighted to see this industry springing back to life in our region in such an impressive way.
We are looking forward to working with English Fine Cottons for many years to come. Made in Britain really does starts here.
